The Pyramids of Giza are the only surviving wonder of the original Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. How it was built has puzzled observers for millennia. Even more interesting than how, however is why. Also: another structure you probably haven’t heard of, which is arguably even more wonderful. And: the visual language of kingship, and its destruction.
